WRF seeks to expand its support of student programs by launching an opportunity for nonprofit colleges and universities located in Washington state to apply for funding for new or existing student programs related to STEM research and entrepreneurship. Further details can be found here >>

Mini Accelerator Workshop and Expanded Summer Innovation Fellows Program
Support of undergraduate students to engage in paid innovative research. The goal is research that accelerates technologies that can improve lives and help guide students into careers in related STEM fields.
Biotechnology Internship Expansion for Community College Students
Lab internships at local research institutions and companies, giving valuable hands-on experience to students enrolled in SCC’s certificate and degree programs in biotechnology
Western Innovation Training Fellowship
Providing WWU students with funding and structured training in solution-focused innovation, technology commercialization and STEM entrepreneurship
Health Economics & Outcomes Research Fellowships
Collaboration with the UW’s School of Pharmacy to enable students to analyze health economics impact of innovations that are supported by WRF
Regulatory Fellowships
Collaboration with UW’s BRAMS program to enable students to develop regulatory strategies for projects supported by WRF
