It is the policy of Washington Research Foundation to allow institutions to request up to 10% of the direct cost of a grant to support indirect costs for our Technology Commercialization Grants and our large-scale BioInnovation Grants. For these grant programs, indirect costs do not apply to capital equipment expenditures greater than $5,000, tuition, patient care, or subawards more than $25,000.
Indirect costs will not apply to Postdoctoral Fellowships, Faculty Programs, Student Programs or Sponsorships (e.g. meetings, conferences etc.).
WRF reserves the right to review and approve the allocation of indirect costs. Moreover, WRF may request additional information or clarification on the allocation of indirect costs.
Grantees from the University of Washington must submit an eGC1 to the Office of Sponsored Programs.
