Promoting Academic Excellence
Washington Research Foundation fuels the engine of innovation by helping attract outstanding researchers and faculty, constructing state-of-the-art facilities and supporting promising students. WRF gives generously through the following programs:
- Student programs: WRF provides financial support in the form of endowed and non-endowed fellowships for graduate and undergraduate students.
- Faculty programs: Our contribution to faculty excellence includes retention and recruitment awards, endowments, chairs, gifts for commercialization of technology, equipment matching and event sponsorships.
- Infrastructure programs: WRF supports new construction and renovation. We’ve been instrumental in campus expansion by funding projects such as a microfabrication facility and the UW Center for Innovation.
- Technology development programs: Through institutional gifts, we support innovative research by students and professors during the transitional stage of commercialization when grants aren't applicable and investment capital is not suitable.
Our programs encourage world-class scholarship, facilitate interdisciplinary projects and leverage the financial commitments of other institutions. The outcome is the advancement of research and technology in Washington state.
