May 31, 2002 JEFF EBY NAMED CFO OF WRF CAPITAL SEATTLE - Jeff Eby, former chief financial officer of the Seattle Art Museum, has been named chief financial officer of WRF Capital. "Jeff's experience will help guide WRF Capital in achieving our financial goals and in providing due diligence and licensing assistance for our start-up companies," said Ron Howell, managing director of WRF Capital. Eby had been associated with the museum since 1985, when as finance manager he managed the project budget for the acquisition of land and subsequent development of the new museum building. He was also controller from 1989 to 1990. Earlier he was a senior consultant with Arthur Andersen in Seattle and Chicago and a planning consultant for Christopher J. Brown & Associates in Houston. Eby received his master's in business administration from Northwestern University and two bachelor's degrees from Rice University. He is a certified public accountant. WRF Capital is the venture investment arm of Washington Research Foundation, an independent organization founded in 1981 to create wealth to support research and scholarship at Washington state institutions. WRF Capital companies are primarily those with some technology originating at the University of Washington and other research institutions in the state.
