What We Look For

We seek companies that are developing unique products or technologies with a strong intellectual property position, large compelling markets and long-term growth potential. Management is crucial. Companies must have or be able to attract exceptional management. We look for focused business plans that convince us there is a reasonable, capital-efficient path forward. Finally, we need a clear understanding of the company’s planned exit strategy, typically occurring within 2-7 years of our initial investment. WRF Capital prefers to invest in companies that are spun out of, or are commercializing technologies from, a not-for-profit research institution.
